Nursing Club

The Nursing Club, sponsored by the Division of Nursing and Allied Health, is open to all nursing students. Students learn how to be professionally and socially active in the community. Members participate in a variety of community service and fundraising activities. The club’s mission is to promote/expand visibility and growth of the nursing profession, as well as to promote high personal standards among nursing students. Leadership and fellowship are also encouraged while cultivating, promoting, and sustaining the art and science of nursing.

SIC Nursing Club donates to Freddie's Pantry

 

The Southeastern Illinois College Nursing Club dontated 25 percent of the proceeds from their bake sale and silent auction held on on Tuesday, Nov. 1 to Freddie’s Food Pantry. SIC and the SIC Foundation, along with corporate partner COUNTRY Financial, have created Freddie’s Pantry to help fight hunger for students on campus. Students who receive Pell grants are eligible to visit the Pantry up to three times per semester (one visit per week). Mission Statement:

Goals:

Promote health awareness, on campus and in the community by providing health related activities.  Encourage collaboration and professional development among nursing students.  Participate in the planning of campus-wide activities and events that prepare students to meet the challenges of our global community.  Participate in service-oriented projects within the community.
