Basketball (W) Head Coach -and- Basketball (M) Assistant Coach
Jack Trosper enters his third year at Southeastern Illinois as the assistant coach for men’s basketball and first as the head coach for women's basketball.
Previously, Trosper started as a student assistant to the men’s basketball program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from 2005-2008. He was responsible for creating and editing game preparation films, managing travel equipment, assisting with drills and walk-throughs, and computing team statistics. In 2007, he was a part of the Southland Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, which they participated in the NCAA Tournament against #2 seeded Wisconsin.
During 2009 – 2010, Trosper was the volunteer assistant coach for basketball at Flour Bluff High School while completing his student-teaching assignment. Duties included organizing practices for the freshman, JV, and Varsity teams and working as the assistant at JV and Varsity games.
In 2010 – 2011, Trosper was the assistant varsity basketball coach at Madisonville High School. While at Madisonville, he helped organize practices and broke down opposing teams’ game film. He also worked individually with the guards through numerous drills and workouts and developed 4 all-district guards, 3 of which were first year varsity players.
During 2011-2012, he was the assistant basketball coach at Eastern New Mexico University. His duties included facilitating and participating in all individual workouts, conditioning and practices.He monitored the academic progress of student athletes and broke down opposing game films and created scouting reports.
Overall Coach Trosper has helped coach and develop 4 all district players and 7 all conference players.
Jack earned his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and mathematics at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He holds teacher certifications in physical education (EC-12) and Mathematics (4-8).
