Current MJOSAA Recipients

In honor of president emeritus, Dr. Mary Jo Oldham, the student-athlete awards recognize excellence in the classroom on the part of athletes who represent Southeastern Illinois College.  To be eligible, the student-athlete must have completed a minimum of 3 semesters of college courses and have a minimum of a 2.00 GPA.  Dr. Oldham, and the coaching staff of Southeastern, believes that academic success is vital to success in athletics and success in life.
2016 Recipients:  Molly Price of Johnston City, Illinois is the daughter of Clint and Roxanne Price.  She was a member of the Lady Falcons basketball team in 2014-2016.  Molly will be leaving college basketball behind as she transfers to the University of St. Louis to enter the accelerated nursing program.  Jacob Vaughan of Bowling Green, Kentucky is the son of Col. Tim and Kate Vaughan.  He was a member of the Falcons baseball team in 2013-2016.  Jake, our first 2-time winner of this honor, hopes to continue his baseball career when transfers to complete his work in criminology.  Ater, he plans to become an aviator and officer in the US Marine Corps.
