Current MJOSAA Recipients

In honor of president emeritus, Dr. Mary Jo Oldham, the student-athlete awards recognize excellence in the classroom on the part of athletes who represent Southeastern Illinois College.  To be eligible, the student-athlete must have completed a minimum of 3 semesters of college courses and have a minimum of a 2.00 GPA.  Dr. Oldham, and the coaching staff of Southeastern, believes that academic success is vital to success in athletics and success in life.
2017 Recipients:  Dalton Clarke is from Newmarket, Ontario.  He plays both infield and outfield for the Falcon baseball team.  He attended Sir William Mulock Secondary School.  He is the top academic performer among all male student-athletes and is awarded the Mary Jo Oldham Male Student-Athlete Award. Congratulations Dalton!  Mikayla Thompson is from Morganfield, Kentucky.  She is a guard/forward on the Lady Falcon basketball team and is also a member of the Lady Falcon softball team.  She attended Union County High School. She is the top academic performer among all female student-athletes and is the first woman to compete in two sports to be awarded the Mary Jo Oldham Female Student-Athlete Award.  Congratulations Mikayla!
