Southeastern is a comprehensive community college with a student enrollment of approximately 3500 and 1200 FTE. Southeastern Illinois College is a rural, two-year college situated on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest, yet within an hour's driving distance of a major research university. The college is located near Harrisburg (population 10,500). Southeastern Illinois College is dedicated to student learning. Part-time Personnel Assistant
Position Summary: Maintain employee personnel files, process new employee paperwork, administer benefit package enrollments and terminations, perform recruitment activities, and coordinate and conduct training for new employees.
Qualifications: Associates degree in Human Resources or related field. Position requires strong written and oral communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to organize and prioritize work.

Assistant Softball Coach and Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach

Southeastern Illinois College seeks an energetic, bright professional to join our Advancement Team. The successful candidate will be able to motivate volunteers & staff, communicate well both orally & in writing, and work independently using discretion. The successful candidate is a key player in a future-focused atmosphere. Advancing philanthropic and grant endeavors.
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist supervisor with direction of fund-raising programs including major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns, alumni relations, community relations, planned giving, private Foundations, event planning, prospect research and development, and grant writing.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required in relevant discipline. Fundraising experience preferred. Knowledge of non-profit (501-3C). Experience in a community college setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. A demonstrated ability to work as a member of a leadership team. Grant writing and/or other resource development is also preferred.

TRIO/Student Support Services Director
The TRIO/Student Support Services Director is a full-time, 12 month, federally funded Title IV grant administrative position. This position is also responsible for coordinating and evaluating program initiatives that focus on providing academic support and increasing retention and graduation rates within the TRIO/Student Support Services program.
Qualifications: A Masters degree is required in education, psychology, human development and family life, social work or other related/relevant areas, with experience working with students from diverse ethnic, economic, cultural and age backgrounds. The ability to assess students needs, devise interventions, set goals, conduct thorough follow-up procedures, and plan, and implement motivational strategies is necessary. Minimum of three years experience in a community or technical college preferred Knowledge of federal grant program preferred Preference will be given to applicants who have succeeded in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the project’s target population.

Professional Internships
Position: Internships are available during the Spring and Fall semesters in the following departments: Workforce & Small Business Development Center, Department of Human Resources, Department of Technology, Office of Instruction, Office of Student Affairs, and Office of Business Affairs.
Qualifications: Must currently hold a bachelor's degree and pursuing a Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Public Relations; Must be flexible and adaptable to work in a fast paced environment; must possess excellent communication skills, time management, organizational skills, high degree of proficiency in MS Excel a must; Word, PowerPoint experience a plus, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work well independently and as a team player. Qualified candidates who wish to gain hands on experience in curriculum development, grant writing, participate in training programs and marketing activities for small business and industry. Candidates are also eligible to use the internship for college credit and will receive a letter of recommendation from the College.
