SIC Holds Indoor Archery Center Grand Opening Dec. 15

December 7, 2017

--FREE Target Practice for Attendees--

Southeastern Illinois College will host a grand opening celebration for its new regional Indoor Archery Center on Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.

Attendees will have a chance to meet some of SIC’s nationally ranked champion Falcon Archers who will compete in Division I indoor archery for the first time in January among varsity squads from major colleges and universities across the US.

Instructors and coaches will also be available for tours and to talk about the new facility, as well as team and recreational league opportunities.  After the ceremony, free target practice will be available to those in attendance, but participants must bring their own equipment.  Targets will be provided by SIC.

The event will take place in the new facility, which is located in the Chuck Hearn Outdoor Educational Complex on the east end of campus at 3575 College Road in Harrisburg with entry directly from the main campus or from just past Falcon Field.

Tours and a light reception will also follow this event, which is free to the public.  Christmas gift certificates for spring semester shooting are also available for purchase, and archers can register now for spring semester.
