After the last day to drop with a full refund, usually two weeks after the first day of fall and spring semester, the Financial Aid Office will begin finalizing awards for disbursement. If a student adds a class after this date, the Financial Aid Office will not adjust Pell grants. Students may expect to receive their refund check approximately six weeks after the semester begins. Be sure to check your address with the Admissions Office each semester to ensure your check is mailed to the correct address. Currently, SIC does not have direct deposit options for Pell refund checks. Students may determine the amount of their refund check by logging onto their MySIC.

Summer disbursements vary based on the financial aid the student qualifies for during the summer semester. Pell refund checks are generally mailed five weeks after the first day of summer semester. Students may receive two refund checks during the summer if they have additional financial aid other than Pell.
