In 1985 I was issued my certificate as a Certified Public Accountant.

I started as the accountant in 1995 and upon the retirement of Dennis Myers in 2002 I became the new Controller.
What does SIC mean to you?
I like driving through our district to see the sites and towns and I always think of just how much SIC and our mission means to the people in our district by providing quality accessible education, cultural enrichment opportunities, and support for economic development.
What is your favorite memory at SIC?
I like to look at the old SIC Family photos then close my eyes and think about the people that I have worked with during my time here.
What do you do in your spare time?
Read historical novels and watch Turner Classic Movies.
Where’s your favorite vacation spot?
No favorites, I like to experience new places and historical battlefields.
In the movie based on your life, who plays you?
Being of split personality I would say, Humphry Bogart, Steve Martin, and Tom Hanks.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
George Rogers Clark, Thomas (Stonewall) Jackson and US Grant. Love to listen to the stories they could tell.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever heard and can give to others?
From Admiral David Farragut “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead”. Don’t let setbacks and failures in life stop you from what you want to accomplish.
