Have you held other positions at SIC?
Switchboard Operator

What does SIC means to you?
From the very first day I worked at SIC, I felt like I would stay here long enough to retire.  It always felt like home and Dr. Oldham and Mrs. Beal were such inspirations to me.  It means a lot that you can work with people that you feel so close to.  We are like a big happy family in the MJOCCS.  I cannot imagine being anywhere else.

What's your favorite memory at SIC?
Probably the time we went to a Child Care Conference in Chicago and I had to sleep in the bathtub because they would NOT give us a rollaway.  It was a huge garden tub so it was comfortable, but what a memory.  Those trips are always full of stories to tell.

What do you do in your spare time?
Socialize.  We like to hang out and have fun.  We spend a lot of time with family and friends…and then I would have to say read.  I love to read Karen Kingsbury books.

Where’s your favorite vacation spot?
So far I would have to say Pigeon Forge /Gatlinburg.  That is a very relaxing area that my entire family enjoys.

In the movie based on your life, who plays you?
Melissa McCarthy, Ellen DeGeneres, or anyone that is funny.  I like to make people laugh.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
My Dad and Mom… they are both in Heaven already.  I wouldn’t call them back, but I’d definitely like to see them.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever heard, or the best piece you can give to others?
It’s so good to have people that can make you smile and laugh even when they’re not around you.  That’s a blessing compared to having those people that make you sad and cry when they’re not even around you.  Be around positive people that make you happy.
