Associate Dean of Workforce & Community Education / WISBDC Director
Lori Cox has been the Director of the Southeastern Illinois College Workforce & Illinois Small Business Development Center since April 2005. She has been with the WISBDC since June 2003 as the Supervisor of Client Services/Planning and Event Coordinator.
Lori graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1990 with a B.A. in Speech Communications/Public Relations. From 1990 through 2000 she worked in retail management with companies such as Gymboree, Bath & Body Works and The Disney Store. In 2000, after relocating back to Southern Illinois, she went to work for Egyptian Public and Mental Health Department as the Tobacco Grant Coordinator and Health Educator. During this same time she and her husband owned and operated a small restaurant in Eldorado.

Workforce & Illinois Small Business Development Center Staff
Marcey Martin has been with the Southeastern Illinois College Workforce & Illinois Small Business Development Center since December 1, 1999. Marcey holds the title of Administrative Assistant. She obtained her education from Southeastern Illinois College. She also received the designation of Certified Business Specialist by meeting the requirements as specified by the private/public partnership of the Illinois Small Business Development Center Network and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
Ms. Martin assists the director with helping clients get their business plans and loan applications ready to present to the bank. She also personally helps clients get information they need to pursue their own business or expand an existing one.

CTE Special Projects & Campus Safety Coordinator
Brent Maguire has been with Southeastern Illinois College since May 2013. He was a full-time instructor in the Criminal Justice program until June 2016 when he moved into his current position as CTE Special Projects & Campus Safety Coordinator. Brent graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1995 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He worked as a police officer for approximately fifteen years, working for both the Albion (IL) and Fairfield (IL) police departments. Brent had a variety of assignments as a police officer including Juvenile Officer, D.A.R.E. Officer, School Resource Officer and Detective.

Small Business Specialist
Britt has been with the Workforce & Illinois Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Illinois College since February of 2015. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1992 with a B.S. in English/University Studies. From 1992 to 2000, Britt lived in Orlando, Florida and played Professional Golf on the PGA Tour of Canada, Web.com Tour, and various other tours throughout the world. While doing this, Britt became very familiar with making business plans, fostering community relations, and boosting investor relations into his career. In 2000, he relocated back to Southern Illinois to raise his daughter and run Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort, Illinois. He increased membership through business relations and community relations while increasing sales also.
Britt then moved on to run the Industries Program at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois in 2004. While in charge of the Industries Program, Britt increased sales to over $500,000 per year, while also expanding the product line. He also streamlined the program, saving many valuable hours and money. In 2008, he returned to play Professional Golf on various tours including the Web.com Tour. After an injury in the fall of 2014, he began working with us.
Britt currently is helping people get their businesses up and running by getting business plans, financial plans, and loan applications ready to present to the bank.
