Lawrence Calufetti

The late Lawrence Calufetti of Harrisburg is considered the Father of Falcon Basketball. “Coach Cal” led the men’s team in the first season, 1961-1962. Mr. Calufetti also taught at Harrisburg Township High School/Harrisburg High School for 36 years. At HHS, he served as an assistant coach in football, basketball, track, and baseball as well as head wrestling coach. He received the IHSA Coaches Association Award in 1975. His wife, Mrs. Lorine Calufetti, who accepted the award on his behalf, still resides in Harrisburg.
