Allied Health Programs
"SIC's pharmacy technician program taught me many valuable skills that I use at the hospital daily. The program requires job shadowing hours that gave me actual work experience. Not only did this program make for an easy transition into a work setting, it was close to home and affordable."

Allied Health professionals apply their technical expertise to deliver direct patient care, rehabilitation, treatment, diagnostics and overall health improvement. They provide support for medical labs, doctors’ offices, therapists, and more.
Pharmacy Tech is one of several quality allied health programs available at SIC. Many of our programs can be completed in as little as eight weeks to 10 months.
Are jobs available?
A shortage of qualified workers exists in a variety of allied health fields as the baby boomer population reaches retirement, including healthcare workers, themselves. According to the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions, the demand for healthcare workers between now and 2020 will grow nearly twice as fast as the national economy.
