Online Student Orientation

Do you need help learning how to navigate your online class? 

For online and hybrid classes beginning January 11, 2016, there will be orientation sessions available to introduce you to each of our two different online learning platforms:  

We are beginning a transition from our longstanding online learning program, ANGEL, to the eLearning platform that is housed inside My.SIC.  If you are taking multiple online classes, it is possible that you will need to access both of these programs, but ONLY for the Spring 2016 semester.


If you have no past experience with taking an online classes, it is highly recommended that you attend one of the following 1 hour sessions.


 On-Campus Orientations

Monday, January 11
  • 6:00pm - 7:00 pm in room B224  (this session will focus on ANGEL)
Tuesday, January 12
  • 11:00am - 12:00 pm in Room B224  (this session will focus on ANGEL)
  • 2:00pm - 3:00 pm in Room B224  (this session will focus on ANGEL)
  • 5:00pm - 6:00 pm in Room B224  (this session will focus on My.SIC/eLearning)
Wednesday, January 13
  • 10:00am - 11:00am in Room B224  (this session will focus on My.SIC/eLearning)
  • 3:00pm - 4:00pm in Room B224  (this session will focus on ANGEL)

Online Orientations

You will also have access to the online student orientation (OSO) courses in ANGEL and My.SIC approximately one week before classes begin. This will help you learn to navigate your online classes regardless of which platform they use. Make sure you check it out! 


You will be able to access your credit-bearing course(s) on January 11.

To log into ANGEL:


From the SIC homepage ( and click on "Online Class" link at the top of the page OR go to  
(We suggest that you bookmark this page so it's easy to find.)
  • Your Username is your SIC ID number
  • Your initial Password will be the last 4 digits of your SSN 
The first time you log in, you will be required to change your password. For simplicity, we recommend using the same password for online classes that you use for your MySIC and Falcon Mail accounts.  Just make sure it is something you can remember!

To log into your class in My.SIC:
We put all online students into a group practice course, "OSO - Online Student Orientation" so you can learn to navigate the online learning environment.
