IDPH requirements:

1. Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of two years nursing experience.
2. Required to have one year of experience as a registered nurse with direct patient care, for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age in the following: long-term care nursing facility, extended care unit, geriatrics department, chronic care unit, swing bed unit of a hospital, hospice, home health, or other long term care setting.
